1.  E-mail is the best method to communicate with your member of Congress today.  The next best method is to fax a letter to the Congressional office.

2.  To e-mail a letter, simply go to the website address www.congress.org. You will enter your zip code and will then be provided the e-mail address for your federal elected officials. Select the member of the House of Representatives and Wisconsin’s two Senators.

3.  Enter the information requested on the website form.

4.  Either use the sample letter provided by PSW as text for your letter or modify it to your own style and wording.

5.  Send the letters as soon as possible. Congress will be considering various alternatives for the provision of a Medicare pharmacy benefit and it is important that Wisconsin’s elected officials hear from their pharmacy constituents.

6.  If you communicate with other pharmacists via e-mail, please send them a copy of the e-mail communication to your Congresspersons, and encourage your pharmacist colleagues to send something similar. Be sure to send them the www.congress.org address. Pharmacists outside of Wisconsin can be encouraged to write as well.
