Building community and connecting with one another through PSW
PSW members have the following opportunities to connect with one another virtually.


Medication Safety Group

The focus of this collaborative networking group is to enhance the effectiveness of medication safety efforts in health-system environments across the state of Wisconsin by creating an interactive community of committed pharmacy professionals who:

  • Share expertise, best practices, and strategies aimed at reducing medication-related harm
  • Work together to design innovative safeguards and Impactful approaches to address medication safety challenges of common interest
  • Identify opportunities to collaborate on broader medication safety initiatives and, when appropriate, promote standardization

PSW Pain Stewardship Group

The focus of this collaborative networking group is to enhance the effectiveness of pain management efforts in health-system environments (ambulatory, inpatient, etc.) across the state of Wisconsin by creating an interactive community of committed pharmacy professionals who:

  • Share expertise, best practices, and strategies aimed at optimizing pain stewardship
  • Work together to design innovative safeguards and impactful approaches to address pain management challenges of common interest
  • Identify opportunities to collaborate on broader pain stewardship initiatives and, when appropriate, promote standardization

PSW Independent Pharmacy Forum

Zoom networking sessions run the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 6:30 – 7:00 pm. Please stop in virtually to informally share best practices around vaccination implementation, COVID-19 testing, or whatever your independent pharmacy is implementing or struggling with.

Wisconsin Health-System Member Meet-Up

All PSW members interested in health-system pharmacy are encouraged to join. Each call will focus on a topic for informal discussion. The monthly topic will be announced in Fast Facts. The remaining time on the call will be used for the PSW staff to provide updates and for open networking specific to issues impacting health-system pharmacy.  Monthly Zoom calls are held on the second Thursday of the month from 2:00 – 3:00 pm.

Residency Program Director Group Quarterly Forum

Pharmacogenomics & Pharmacogenetics Group

This networking group hopes to provide a place and space for pharmacist and pharmacy technicians who are interested in, working with, or curious about pharmacogenomics and pharmacogenetics.

PSW New Members Group

This networking group is made just for pharmacist and pharmacy technicians members who are new to PSW, new to practice or new to Wisconsin. All members are welcome and topics are typically open forum with a key topic speaker and lots of member discussion. This might be a good option for members:

  • Looking to network
  • Interested in meeting the PSW Board of Directors & Advisory Teams
  • Want to learn more about the benefits of membership and opportunities for involvement. 
  • Looking to stay "connected" after graduation/residency, or are new to Wisconsin pharmacy practice.
