Medical Misinformation Toolkit

Medical misinformation can influence how patients understand medications, vaccines, supplements, and other health decisions. The **Medical Misinformation Toolkit**, developed by the PSW Ambulatory Care Advisory Committee, provides pharmacy professionals with practical strategies to identify and evaluate questionable health information and address misinformation through respectful, evidence-based conversations with patients.

The toolkit includes approaches for evaluating the credibility of health information, strategies for communicating with patients, an example of addressing misinformation in practice, and summaries of common myths, evidence, and counseling considerations.
