National Pharmacist Workforce Reports

The National Pharmacist Workforce Study (NPWS), funded by the Pharmacy Workforce Center, is a systematic, nationwide survey of U.S. licensed pharmacists that has been conducted approximately every 5 years since 2000. The NPWS aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the pharmacist workforce, including demographics, practice settings, employment characteristics, work activities, career perceptions, health, well-being, and more.

NPWS reports and additional publications are available on the Pharmacy Workforce Cetner website.

Wisconsin Pharmacy Workforce Reports

The Wisconsin Pharmacy Workforce Study is a state-wide survey of pharmacists and technicians that provides an overview of the demographics and work characteristics for the pharmacy workforce and practice in Wisconsin. It also explores current trends and issues in the pharmacy profession at the time of the survey. Future iterations will examine changes with previous years the survey was conducted.

Thank you to all of the Wisconsin pharmacists and technicians that responded to this survey for your time and effort. Without their participation, this study and report would not be possible.

Please direct any questions and inquiries to the Principal Investigator, Brianne Bakken, Associate Professor, University of Iowa, brianne-bakken@uiowa.edu
