- HIMSS – The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society is a global non-for-profit organization which focus on how to provide better health through information technology, The pharmacy informatics section of this website highlights this specialty area of practice and outlines the Partners in E: Pharmacy Informatics Curriculum which is a partnership between the University of California San Francisco to integrate pharmacy informatics into the PharmD curriculum across the country.
- ASHP Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology – The American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacist has a section advisory group that focuses on the practice of pharmacy informatics. The goal of the section is to allow practitioners to share their common professional interest and goals."
- American Medical Informatics Association – The American Medical Informatics Association, a professional organization of leading informaticians, has a Pharmacoinformatics workgroup which is made of the members who are interested in the relationship between informatics, technology, and medication management. The workgroups focus on prescribing, medication administration, monitoring, and education.
