Statement of Purpose
I am honored to be a candidate for the President-Elect position with the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin (PSW). Serving on the PSW Board of Directors has been a rewarding opportunity to promote the profession and support the organization’s mission. I believe every patient deserves access to a pharmacist and pharmacy technician as key members of their care team, no matter the pharmacy practice setting. With nearly 30 years of experience across community pharmacy, managed care, hospital, and ambulatory care practices, I believe I can bring a well-rounded perspective to the challenges and opportunities facing our profession. My experience and activities in reviewing papers for JPSW, expanding ambulatory care services, and promoting residency training reflects my ongoing commitment to advancing pharmacy practice across all settings.

PSW’s advocacy for expanded pharmacist and technician roles, PBM reform, and independent prescribing of contraceptives represents the forward-thinking progress we need. If elected, I am committed to supporting initiatives that drive meaningful change, elevate our profession by continuing to expand provider status, and ensure high-quality pharmacy services for every Wisconsinite. I would be humbled and honored to continue working alongside PSW’s dedicated leaders to shape a strong future for pharmacy practice in our state. Thank you for your membership and supporting pharmacy advancement.

Statement of Purpose
Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success. - Henry Ford

PSW has always served as a platform to come together and unify our voices. Throughout two decades of involvement with PSW, I have found lifelong friends and mentors who inspire me with their tireless efforts to improve the quality of medication care. I am humbled and honored to be on this presidential ballot.

One of the largest challenges we continue to face is financial sustainability, impacted by lower reimbursement and higher drug costs. We need to be a strong voice in PBM reform and protect resources like the 340B Drug Pricing Program while highlighting our everyday clinical impact. From identifying and resolving drug therapy problems to navigating drug shortages, our pursuit of provider status recognizes our workforce’s critical role in quality and safety of patient care. Workforce development, recruitment and retention remain top needs as we look to ensure that our communities are served for decades to come.

PSW’s grassroots advocacy enables us to make meaningful impact through legislative reform, inclusivity efforts, and workforce development. In these dynamic times, it is imperative that our voices be united, strong, and constant. I look forward to working with you in achieving success together!
