Technician Section President Elect Candidates

Megan Davis

I started my pharmacy technician journey in 2011 at a tech school called PIMA in Las Vegas, NV, where I was certified in sterile compounding as well as getting my CPhT certification and license. Since then, I have worked my way up at Walgreens, starting from a technician to senior tech, then finally the Pharmacy Operations Manager. I finally landed in a specialty role here at SSM inpatient pharmacy, where I help leadership with the workflows and onboarding, etc. I am a very hard worker. I encourage my fellow pharmacy technicians to work and be at their full potential and I celebrate the wins in the workplace, no matter how small they might seem. I take great pride in training new technicians and watching them grow into their roles in becoming a pharmacist and I like knowing that I was a part of their journey, and I would love to be considered as a Technician Section President-Elect. I truly believe in pharmacy technicians, and I would love a shot at having a voice and representing technicians in Wisconsin!

I am excited about the opportunity to serve in this role and contribute to the continued growth and support. With over 15 years of experience as a pharmacy technician, I have developed a well-rounded background across outpatient, inpatient, pediatrics and specialty pharmacy settings. Throughout my career, I have taken on leadership responsibilities, supported team workflow, and prioritized patient-centered care in fast-paced environments.

Throughout my experience as a technician, I have learned that this profession requires more than technical skill — it requires teamwork, communication, adaptability, and resilience. Technicians are often the backbone of daily operations, yet many feel their voices are underrepresented in decision-making and professional development opportunities. I want to help change that by ensuring our section becomes a place where technicians at every stage of their career can access mentorship, education, and leadership pathways.

As President, my focus would be on three key priorities: engagement, development, and advocacy. I believe leadership is service. A President should not simply lead from the front but listen from within — understanding the needs of members and acting as a bridge between ideas and action.

Serving as Technician Section President would allow me to give back to a profession that has provided me growth, purpose, and opportunity. I am committed to dedicating my time, energy, and accountability to strengthening this section and leaving it more connected, prepared, and inspired than it was before.
